# Design Principles

ZENi is designed as an integrity-first data infrastructure. The guiding principles are:

• AI-ready by design: unified schema, provenance metadata, and dataset versioning.

• Consent-first for online connectors: clear permissions and revocations.

• Open where possible: permissionless ingestion of on-chain events and open/public datasets.

• Verification over trust: integrity is measured and reported, not assumed.

• Privacy-first and data minimization: share commitments, aggregates, and proofs rather than raw sensitive inputs.

• Composable outputs: APIs and webhooks that downstream systems can subscribe to.
